Black&White
Race-related issues have increased because some people view those with different skin colour, religion, language or background as inferior to those in power. Prejudice against people of different backgrounds has long been observed around the world. A clear example of this data back to the seventeenth century, when more than twelve million black people were enslaved. Many states still do not recognize the rights of black people, who were brought here to work as servants for the white people. The Help, which is Kathryn Stocker's novel also made into a movie in 2011, painted clear picture of the suffering of African American maids for the white families in Mississippi in the 1960s. During Jim Crow era, the film traces lives of these women and the race oppression they want through and demonstrates their fortitude over years of hardship. It revolves around Skeeter Phelan, a young white women struggling to change the world, through a black maid's stories in her neighbor's houses. Skeeter then Shares various narratives of strength, hope and despair through Aibileen Clark and Minny Jackson. These stories not only change the way she sees indigenous racism but also make her understand the act of the women as brave heroines who speak up for their rights in an unjust society.
However, it should be noted that he, Malachi and the directors were responsible for a large portion of this emotion in most of the scenes and the major character's outstanding performances - Octavia Spencer as Minny and Viola Davis as Aibileen - are credited with this, Viola Davis portrays a lady who has dreamed of raising white children despite discrimination for the majority of her life in a very good way. As Minny, a remarkable, humorous and selfless lady who manages to be joyful despite the awful circumstances, Octavia spencer is remarkable and genuine. The player's actions, in some ways, aid in understanding certain concerns.
The themes and messages are positive. The Help is positive film, however, the film is about people and their friendship and the courage of people to fight back, even though it draws attention to racism as the worst aspect of the period, which makes you think about what it does. The film doesn't follow the wide picture of racism; however, it does represent how racism impacts apparently individuals and families. I mean, they are trying to upset people with some serious racism, but at the same time they put in some funny scenes. Maybe it is done for a purpose to give balance so it is not so hard to watch this movie, and the message would stand out. For instance, Minny and Celia Foote, a white and inexperienced tenderhearted woman, are used to contrast as humour compared to topics such as abuse, sexual harassment, and the psychological impact of Discrimination.
In conclusion, it's The Help that is driving the movie, which makes us understand the tough position of Black women in matters of race relations in America. On the one hand, the essence of the symbol painted is imperfect, but on the other hand it is a vehicle of communication for the various goals of compassion, valour and fighting for justice. As a result, this film under the name "Black & White" of yesterday's differences and today's fight for equality comes to mind for the protagonist.
